Georgia's peculiarities
Georgia's peculiarities.
Georgia is a country of contrasts. The eventful, eventful past of the country has created a space that combines various artefacts from different times and eras. In Georgia, you will see the legends about the Argonauts sung by Homer, early Christian traditions about the baptism of the country and its rejection of idolatry. Here you will also hear tragic stories about medieval rulers who were forced to leave their palaces and fortresses, once majestic and impregnable, but now dilapidated and overgrown with moss and shrubs. Here, in the cities, refined, graceful buildings built in the Art Nouveau style are interspersed with monumental buildings of the Soviet era; and the ancient churches that made Georgia's "Golden Age" coexist with futuristic buildings made of glass and concrete. The contrasts of Georgia grow from its centuries-old history, sharp changes in the fate of the country. However, no matter how contrasting and multifaceted this small Caucasian country may seem to you, every day you can find more and more new reasons for surprise.
Georgia is hospitable and open to everyone! Thanks to the country's rapidly developing tourism infrastructure, a trip to Georgia can be organized quickly and easily. It can be reached by numerous flights from around the world, including with the help of low-cost airlines (such as Wizz air and Ryanair). In addition, you can get to Georgia from neighbouring Turkey, Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan through land border crossings. In the warm season, from Russia and Ukraine, you can take a ferry to the port of Batumi. Citizens of about 100 countries of the world are exempted from obtaining a visa to visit Georgia. Moreover, for them, staying in the country without any permits is possible for 360 days, and if this time is not enough, you can cross any border and enter Georgia again. Housing prices, moving around the country, guide services, chic dinners in restaurants are relatively low. Here you can have a great vacation, spending a minimum of money. Georgia is well-suited for budget travellers, with easy hitchhiking and friendly hitchhikers often inviting strangers to their homes for dinner and lodging.
